This is a recent sunset shot from the fantastic limestone headland near Llandudno known as Great Orme or Y Gogarth in Welsh. We’d stopped here because I really liked the way the beach curved against the cliff face and I wanted to incorporate it into the sunset shot. I knew from the outset that the sunlight would be lost to the base cloud once the sun dropped so far, so it was important to catch it at the different stages beforehand, I chose a long exposure shot to create further interest in the sea, and was happy with the result as it matched what I envisaged!
