I watched this sun set on to the horizon at about midnight and it did not go beyond, then it began to rise by 1.00 am and a new day had dawned. I have never witnessed such an event before or photographed a sunset and a sunrise within an hour of each other before.
 
For two months of the year in Lofoten the sun does not go down!
