This photograph was taken on North Shore Beach at sunset. It was taken from a tripod but set up for a different composition, so luckily enough whilst shooting for a different composition I’d spotted how the waves were crashing into a particular part of the beach at that point in time so I spun the camera around and waited for the next series of waves to come crashing in. I set the shutter speed 0.5 seconds, which I know from experience, really does accentuate the capture of the moment the wave explodes with impact. A sunset scene with a punch so to speak!
